Training Programs

Imagine your dog (yes, even your wild, crazy dog) calmly greeting guests, no paws flying or slipping through door as people walk inside. Calm neighborhood walks without a tight leash cutting into your hand. Even your dog, hanging out while you grab drinks at an outdoor patio with friends or joining you (and not a passing squirrel) for a hike.

We will work together to decide which training program is the best fit for your goals as well as your dog’s needs. No one size fits all approaches here- every dog and household is unique!

Puppy Programs

For puppies under six months.

Puppy programs focus on building confidence, socialization, and handling skills- all things that will make their lives more enjoyable as they grow up. House training and basic obedience are also a key focus.

Ask about both lesson and stay and train options to start your puppy off on the right paw!

Since puppies are all so different and change by the day, program recommendations vary.

The Scholar: Lesson Program

For dogs over six months of age

Customized to you and your dog’s needs.  Eight private lessons coaching you to teach your dog. This program is ideal for dogs with minimal reactivity and who show no aggression, but can be adjusted to accommodate additional needs.

Skills Mastered:

  • Come (Even off leash!)

  • Sit + Down

  • Extended Stay

  • Loose Leash Walking

  • No/Off

  • Place

In addition to obedience skills, we will also spend time teaching your dog to “read the room”- building appropriate default habits for normal contexts of their routine.  This means that while, initially, we’ll use obedience and management heavily to guide our dogs toward the right decisions, we will also work on teaching you to motivate your dog to be calm when you‘re calm, greet politely as a default, and behave appropriately even when they’re not being micro-managed.

This Program Includes:

  • A professional training collar

  • Written resources and weekly homework

  • Access to group training outings for six months following program completion

Investment: $1600

The Star Student: Board and Train Program

For dogs over six months of age

Following the same general curriculum as The Scholar Lesson Program, send your pup off for a vacation to live with the trainer and return to show you what they’ve learned.

During your dog’s stay, they will receive several daily training sessions, daily play time, enrichment, and structured dog interaction. Training takes place in a home environment, not a warehouse or a kennel, so your dog will be learning their manners and skills in real neighborhoods, with real guests, and in real life. Field trips happen at least twice a week to help your pup practice their new skills in new environments before they return!

Following your dog’s return, we’ll spend several lessons teaching you how to maintain your dog’s new skills.

Investment: Stay and train programs begin at $3,200 for a three week program, but vary based on your dog’s training needs and length of stay.
